The barn is a fully-flexible space equipped with stage lighting and surround sound. It can seat up to 110 people, please see plans for seating arrangements.
As from September 2011 our rental charges will be increasing slightly. I do hope this does not cause any inconvenience and that you will continue to use this beautiful community venue for your events/performances.

Prices from April 2012

Corporate Hire of Venue:

Half Day weekday £150

Half day weekend £175

Daily rate weekday £250

Charities Hire of Venue:

Half Day weekday or evening £60

Daily rate: weekday £110

Daily rate: weekend £150

Miscellaneous Extras:

Piano Hire £70

Piano Tuning £65

(this is in addition to its regular monthly tuning)

Box office £35 per night

Publicity £50

Coffee/tea with biscuits £2 per head

Second coffee/tea without biscuits £3.50 per head.

Lunch – Buffet £8

Lunch – Hot main and pudding/cheeses £12

Theatre/ Music: (to be agreed upon by both parties)

1) Straight Hire: one ‘week’ i.e. Wednesday to Saturday (plus optional matinee) including publicity and box office costs of £175:

2) Straight Hire: one night only, weekend:

£200 + £25 Box Office + £50 Publicity

3) Straight Hire – one night only, weeknight (Wednesday or Thursday):

£170 + £25 Box Office + £50 Publicity

4) Box office split 70/30 (this includes Publicity and Box Office costs)

5) For one ‘week’ i.e. Wednesday–Saturday (plus optional matinee)

£350 + 20% of box office.

6) For one night only – including box office and publicity costs:

£120 + 20% of box office

Up to two hours of technical support is included in the price. Extra hours are charged at £50 per hour.

In the past we have been able to assist community groups and organisations by offering them preferential rates but we regret that we are no longer in the position to be able to do this as our overheads are increasing and external funding is no longer available to subsidise our running costs.

We know that you will appreciate the situation that we regretfully find ourselves in and that you will understand that we have had to recalculate our rental fees to include maintenance, preparation time, administration and man-power contributed by Riverhouse.
