The Craft Space  

riverhouse is an intimate, friendly arts centre offering a wide variety of professional presentations and performances. It is largely run and managed by volunteers from the local community.

We provide a year round programme of events which include drama productions, chamber music, traditional and modern jazz, children's shows, cabaret, art exhibitions. We also offer a variety of classes in arts and crafts for adults and young people.

Mission Statement of the Riverhouse Barn Arts Centre

(Aims and Objectives)

 

To promote activities that engage and stimulate a wide cross section of the community.

To offer and deliver a wide range of art/craft/ performance classes to children and adults at an affordable rate without compromising professionalism and quality of teaching. Therefore to use practitioners of the highest standards and pay them well for the work they do.

To make these classes accessible and enjoyable.

To challenge our audiences and encourage an open minded curiosity without alienating them.

To support and nurture local artists from all disciplines and encourage collaborations which will benefit our community and stimulate innovative projects.

To respect all who enter the building and treat everyone as equals.
